It’s okay to copy from the competition, especially when they did it first.
When Apple presented the iphone 6 and iOS8, many critics were excited that they could finally bash Apple for finally catching up with Android phone versions of 2011-2012.
But who really cares? Android’s success is thanks to the work the Apple invested in RnD. If it wasn’t for Apple, Android would have been some other Nokia wannabe. You must remember that I am an Android developer, so don’t get me wrong on this, I love Android sooooooo much. I am just trying to be object here.
How about the Samsung Galaxy Alpha? Take a good look at it in these photos while matched against the iPhone 5.
It all looks like another iPhone 5 design knock off. So if Samsung (and Android) may copy the good things about Apple, I am of the opinion that Apple has all rights to imitate or copy the good things about Android and any other Android phone/manufacturer.
All fanatics from either sides (Android and Apple) need to get to their senses for once and stop spewing out bullshit and enjoy whatever either side has to offer. By the way, I think Microsoft I finally got it right with their “one product family, one platform, one store” strategy. So I may soon start polishing up my C# skill.
To emphasise it more: it’s okay to copy from the competition, especially when they did it first.
