Microsoft and Nokia: if Microsoft runs the show, Nokia mobile will become “pre-historic”

The news has sunk in already, Microsoft decided to buy Nokia devices and services business for $7.2 billion. I didn’t see that coming, so I am not going to fuel conspiracy theorist who claimed that Microsoft made Nokia mobile suck in order to buy them.

My focus will be on why I think Nokia should run the show if these two will have a good, prosperous relationship that will compete will Android and iOS. I still love you BlackBerry 😉

1. Nokia was making way better mobile hardware units before it started build around Microsoft’s mobile OS.
There is a truth that the symbian OS couldn’t run the same race with iOS. But look at it this way, Samsung’s mobile phones were not as good as Nokia’s. But today, I am a proud serial owner of Samsung mobile phones.
If Nokia only had gone with Android!

2. Windows tends to have problems whenever it designs hardware computer devices. Remember Pocket PC 2000?, Windows XP tablets?, Portable Media Center? Zune? “Origami” Ultra Mobile PCs?
If you don’t know them, you may blame the designers at Microsoft.
I respect the Kinetic and Xbox. And to be honest, Microsoft has a lot of smart people tending towards genius.
When you consider those failures, it is better to say that Nokia/Microsoft mobile relationship will only shine if Nokia runs the show.

3. I think the above points are enough for now because we live in a capitalistic world [most of us] which makes me respect the fact that Nokia and Microsoft have far more money/capital than I do.
